About Us
Coastal Enterprises of Jacksonville, Inc. was incorporated in 1981 and is a private non-profit 501(c)3 organization. In October 2006 Coastal Enterprises received a 3 year CARF accreditation. We strive for excellence in our commitment to maintain this status as we serve the citizens in our community.
Coastal Enterprises of Wilmington became a division of Coastal Enterprises of Jacksonville, Inc. in November 2001. This took place as the result of a merger with “Keys”, an existing rehabilitation program for many years in Wilmington, NC.
Both offices are served by the same volunteer governing Board of Directors that meet quarterly. Coastal Enterprises of Wilmington is served by a voluntary Advisory Board of Directors that also meets quarterly. Coastal Enterprises, Inc. currently serves over 500 men and women annually with a wide range of disabilities.
Throughout our history, Coastal Enterprises has served our communities with the clear mission to develop and maintain training and employment opportunities for persons with disabilities. Last year Coastal Enterprises paid more than $3 million in wages and benefits to adults with disabilities in our communities.
